About the role#
As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will work alongside manufacturing and engineering professionals to support operational excellence. You will split your time between office tasks and the production floor to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions. The role involves leading a unique project, analyzing data, and collaborating with teams to drive results.
What you'll do#
- Map manufacturing processes and assist in creating or updating Standard Work procedures.
- Participate in Managing for Daily Improvement meetings.
- Lead a continuous improvement project with a cross-functional team, including data analysis and implementation of solutions.
- Conduct research and prepare reports or presentations.
- Act as a resource for employees on the manufacturing floor.
- Travel to additional plant locations to support production efforts as needed.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in Process, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and use sound judgment to reach conclusions.
- Strong communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, volunteer work, or off-campus employment.
Location & details#
- Location: Brownsville, Wisconsin.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The program includes farm and facility tours, networking events with leadership, group outings, volunteer opportunities, and professional development training.
