About the role#
The BT Intern for Support Services provides hands-on experience with the technology that keeps our business running. You will work alongside IT professionals to assist with technical support, troubleshooting, and service desk operations. This role covers both office and manufacturing environments, offering exposure to end-user support, networking, telecommunications, and server infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Provide first incident and service request support for all IT devices, software, and applications.
- Create, update, and resolve tickets within the Service Management system.
- Conduct initial troubleshooting and ask questions to determine user needs.
- Assist with network and telecom support at the Home Office and various facilities.
- Work at production facilities with Plant Engineers to address Information Technology support needs.
- Support the deployment of workstations, laptops, tablets, scanners, and phones.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Comfort relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
- Self-starter mindset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools and mobile devices.
- Preferred: Participation in campus organizations, volunteer activities, student leadership programs, or part-time employment.

- This position is based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
