About the role#
Gitar is looking for current undergraduate students in Computer Science or related fields to join our engineering team. We are interested in candidates with experience in programming languages, compilers, AI, static and dynamic analysis, and automated code refactoring. This is a paid, full-time internship based in San Mateo, California.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend and frontend solutions.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to define, design, and ship new features.
- Maintain the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications.
- Introduce new technologies to improve our developer platform.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related degree program.
- Ability to solve problems and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Interest in building products that solve real user problems.
- Experience coding in Rust is preferred.
- Proficiency in TS/JS, Go, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Python, or Swift is useful.

- This role is located on-site in San Mateo, California.
- The internship is full-time and paid.
