About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to contribute to Tech Ops within the Quality department at Kite. You will support the Global KLIMS team by documenting processes and identifying areas for improvement. This role provides exposure to master data management and workflow analysis within a biotechnology research setting. At the end of the term, you will present your findings and project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Create a current-state process map for KLIMS master data development and maintenance.
- Build a master data relationship map to visualize categories and dependencies.
- Develop a matrix detailing roles and responsibilities.
- Write a process narrative or guide covering inputs, outputs, and decision points.
- Maintain a log of improvement opportunities for the Global KLIMS team.
- Present your completed work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- At least 18 years of age at the start of the program.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Ability to commit to 10 to 12 consecutive weeks of full-time work between May and August.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with business process mapping, workflow analysis, or process-improvement concepts.
- Experience with process-modeling applications such as SAP Signavio, Microsoft Visio, or Lucidchart.
- Understanding of relational data concepts, data governance, or information flow.
- Experience gathering requirements or documenting processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
