About the role#
As a summer intern at Ghafari Associates, you will work under the direction of project engineers and managers to develop engineering design documents and digital models. This full-time role focuses on applying your technical skills to real-world projects while learning how to coordinate design disciplines and solve production problems.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project scope and design requirements.
- Provide limited design input and detail documentation.
- Make corrections and prepare final documents for review.
- Check for integration between sections and coordinate across disciplines.
- Resolve document coordination and production issues.
- Produce 3D drawings and digital design models.
- Deploy team-oriented problem solving.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
- Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with electrical design and analysis software such as AGI32, Visual, ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Ability to take direction and show initiative.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, plus paid holidays.
