About the role#
Geosyntec Consultants is hiring an intern for our Charlotte office. This full-time position supports our environmental remediation and management teams. You will apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects while gaining experience in the consulting industry. This role runs for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering calculations using technical software.
- Write technical reports, letters, plans, and proposals.
- Analyze data and prepare maps, tables, and figures.
- Coordinate with engineers, geologists, administrative staff, and contractors.
- Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling.
- Oversee drilling operations and contractor activities.
- Drive to project sites or office locations as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in geology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering.
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Valid U.S. driver license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
- Experience with ArcGIS, CADD, or Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Prior internship or research experience is preferred.
