About the role#
Farallon Consulting is looking for an intern to join our team in Bellevue or Seattle. You will work with scientists, geologists, and engineers on environmental projects across the Pacific Northwest. This role provides hands-on experience in investigation, remediation, and compliance work. You will split your time between field activities and office-based technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with environmental site investigations and remediation projects.
- Support soil, groundwater, sediment, and stormwater sampling.
- Manage and interpret environmental data.
- Conduct regulatory and historical research.
- Prepare technical reports, figures, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with teams throughout the Puget Sound region.
- Learn about consulting, project management, and environmental regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in Environmental Engineering or a related environmental discipline.
- Interest in environmental consulting and remediation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
