    About the role#

    This co-op position supports the Relay and Control Design department. You will work under the guidance of staff engineers to complete routine system protection tasks. You will receive specific instructions for your assignments and use limited judgment as you gain experience with our technical workflows.

    What you'll do#

    • Create Preliminary Design Single Line (PDSL) drawings for substation facilities.
    • Provide Electric Membership Cooperatives (EMCs) with fault Data Sheets for distribution service points.
    • Update As-Built drawings based on field changes.
    • Help staff engineers manage technical databases, spreadsheets, and project files.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program and your school's Co-op or Intern program.
    • A GPA of 2.7 or higher.
    • Foundational knowledge of Electrical theory.
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
    • A strong interest in Power Systems.
    • Experience with AutoCAD drafting is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site role based in Tucker, Georgia.
    • The term is for Winter 2027.
    • You must be available to work 40 hours per week for 14 weeks during the Spring term.
    • This is a paid position.
