    About the role#

    This co-op position supports the System Protection and Control department. You will work under the guidance of staff engineers to complete technical assignments. This role requires on-site attendance in Tucker, Georgia, for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.

    What you'll do#

    • Create Preliminary Design Single Line (PDSL) drawings for transmission and distribution substation facilities.
    • Develop and finalize protective relay settings and operating instructions.
    • Prepare Fault Current and Protective Equipment Data sheets.
    • Assist staff engineers with daily protection and control tasks.
    • Maintain technical databases, spreadsheets, and project files.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
    • Participation in your school's official Co-op or Intern program.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.7.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
    • Dependability and the ability to work effectively with others.
