About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience by rotating through multiple departments at George Koch Sons. You will work across engineering, sales, field services, research and development, and manufacturing. This program provides a look at how our business operates while helping you build technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various departments to gain experience across the company.
- Assist with the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
- Participate in cost estimations and customer proposals for new projects.
- Support project implementation, on-site installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Contribute to product development initiatives and innovation projects.
- Assist in process improvements, workflow optimization, and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on real-world projects.
- Apply your academic knowledge to solve complex challenges.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in rotating through diverse functional areas.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software tools.
