About the role#
George Koch Sons is hiring a Controls or Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside an experienced group of engineering professionals who provide mentorship and project guidance. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Caledonia, Michigan.
What you'll do#
Your work will cover the full lifecycle of engineering projects. You will gain exposure to the following areas:
- Design and project engineering
- Installation processes
- Collaborative tasks with senior engineering staff
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering degree program
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Experience or knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, preferably with Allen Bradley systems
- Familiarity with industrial networks like Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, or ProfiNet
- Ability to travel to various job sites for extended periods
