About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a corporate environment within the plastics manufacturing industry. You will work under the guidance of a supervisor and mentor to support business initiatives, process improvements, and data management. This role focuses on developing practical skills in communication, collaboration, and business analysis while you contribute to the organization.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
- Conduct research, collect data, and perform analysis for ongoing projects.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries of your findings.
- Participate in meetings and share ideas on process improvements.
- Create or revise documentation, forms, and communication materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned business projects.
- Coordinate intern networking events across sites.
- Engage in training sessions and professional development events.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.
- Deliver a final presentation or report summarizing your internship experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Strong academic standing.
- An interest in learning about manufacturing or industrial business environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, and business processes quickly.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to taking initiative.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
