About the role#
Enact is hiring a Data Science Intern for a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027. You will join the Data Science team to build analytics that help various business functions. This role involves working on projects that influence business outcomes while networking with company leaders and participating in professional development workshops.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Pricing, Risk, and Customer Solutions teams to define business questions.
- Prepare data and perform exploratory analysis on large datasets.
- Design and implement predictive and prescriptive models to optimize business processes.
- Build machine learning models using both structured and unstructured data.
- Translate complex model results and methods into clear insights for non-analytical business users and governance teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program within a quantitative field like Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Practical experience with Python, specifically Pandas and Scikit-learn.
- Experience using Spark, SQL, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of machine learning libraries, time series forecasting, and optimization techniques.
- Strong communication skills to present findings to diverse audiences.
