About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Jacksonville, Florida. You will work on-site to support our engineering department in its day-to-day operations. This role is designed to help you learn about the railroad industry, including its structure and competitive dynamics, while you gain hands-on experience with our internal systems and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily departmental tasks.
- Learn how our specific processes and systems work.
- Gain a broad understanding of the railroad industry.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work as a self-starter.
- The ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization while maintaining independence.
