About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will support the daily operations of the Sales and Marketing department while gaining exposure to the railroad industry, including its structure and competitive dynamics. You will also learn about the specific processes, procedures, and systems used at Genesee & Wyoming Inc.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day departmental operations.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the railroad industry.
- Learn internal company processes, procedures, and systems.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to work as a self-starter.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels while maintaining objectivity.
- A valid driver’s license.
