Sales & Marketing Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to support the daily operations of the Sales & Marketing department at Genesee & Wyoming Inc. You will gain foundational knowledge of the railroad industry, including its structure and competitive dynamics, while learning the internal processes, procedures, and systems used by the company.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Develop an understanding of railroad industry structure and competitive dynamics.
• Learn and utilize G&W internal processes, procedures, and systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work as a self-starter.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• A valid driver’s license.
