About the role#
Generac is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Waukesha. You will work on next-generation residential energy products. This position offers exposure to analog and digital design, power electronics, high-voltage battery systems, and battery management systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and run long-term test setups for electrical systems.
- Focus on power conversion, high voltage, inverters, PV optimizers, electronics, and IoT devices.
- Perform functional and performance testing on components, subsystems, and complete systems.
- Improve existing test setup design processes.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Electrical Engineering program.
- Understanding of AC and DC power and basic electrical concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Experience with programming languages that communicate with electronic hardware.
- Proven technical experience through academic or personal projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
- This position follows a rolling term.
