About the role#
As a Summer Analyst Intern, you will participate in the Gas South Launchpad Summer Internship Program. This is a full-time role running from May through August 2027. You will work on projects that support business priorities, strengthen your professional skills, and gain exposure to how data and insights inform decisions across the company.
What you'll do#
- Analyze company, customer, operational, and market data to identify trends and insights.
- Support the development of reports, dashboards, models, and process improvements using tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business decisions.
- Monitor business metrics and help prepare clear summaries for team members and leaders.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand needs, gather information, and contribute to practical solutions.
- Prepare project documentation, presentations, and process or data flow materials.
- Assist with data collection, validation, organization, and quality checks.
- Present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor degree.
- Must be a rising junior or rising senior during Summer 2027.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and ask thoughtful questions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners.
- Ability to translate data or research into clear, actionable insights.
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar tools is a plus.
- Interest in data analysis, business intelligence, finance, or process improvement.
- Previous coursework, projects, campus involvement, or work experience related to analytics or business is preferred.
