About the role#
This position supports after-school programming for the Jaffrey-Rindge school district. You will assist with the administration of four to five activities each semester, culminating in a Literacy Evening event. Most work occurs in the late afternoon and early evening hours. You will commit to an average of 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Help coordinate and run after-school activities for elementary students.
- Supervise and administer tasks during Literacy celebration events.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Work alongside Literacy Initiative Coordinators to support planned programming.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Interest in working with elementary school youth in an educational setting.
- Open to students from all majors, including Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Communications, Public Health, Political Science, Nursing, and Criminal Justice.
- Access to a vehicle is preferred.
- Completion of a satisfactory criminal background check is required for employment.
