About the role#
The Career Center at Franklin Pierce University is hiring a Graduate Assistant to support experiential learning initiatives. This role focuses on the administration of the internship approval process and employer stewardship. You will work closely with students, faculty, and external organizations to manage workflows and ensure program requirements are met.
What you'll do#
- Review and process internship experience requests submitted through Handshake for accuracy and policy alignment.
- Coordinate with faculty internship supervisors and academic departments to facilitate and track approvals.
- Manage the distribution and collection of student and employer evaluations.
- Develop content for internship-related presentations and marketing materials.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employers interested in posting internships.
- Assist with Career Center events, such as career fairs and workshops.
- Communicate with students regarding approval timelines and registration processes.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
- Current enrollment in a Franklin Pierce University graduate program.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage workflow processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with Handshake or similar CRM and experiential learning systems.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment.

- This position is located on-site in Rindge, New Hampshire.
- The term covers Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, and Human Resources.
