About the role#
Frampton Construction is hiring a Safety Intern for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to support our safety operations and gain experience in construction risk management. This role involves field work, documentation support, and professional training.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Safety Manager during jobsite inspections using Procore.
- Participate in project team walk-throughs and observe daily site operations.
- Document field observations and track corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Site-Specific Safety Plans and Emergency Action Plans.
- Prepare and refine safety training presentations and onboarding materials.
- Complete OSHA 30 Construction certification and First Aid/CPR training.
- Travel periodically to project sites outside of Charleston for up to one week at a time.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Safety, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn Procore.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active construction sites while wearing required PPE.
