About the role#
Foxconn Industrial Internet USA is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will join our team in Houston to support process improvement and digital transformation initiatives. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week from August 31 through November 27, 2026. You will work directly with our engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to analyze data and standardize operational workflows.
What you'll do#
- Document and update Standard Operating Procedures to improve manufacturing consistency.
- Analyze production and quality data to find inefficiencies and trends.
- Track manufacturing performance metrics, including First Pass Yield, End-to-End Yield, and Units Per Hour.
- Build and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to provide real-time visibility into operations.
- Use tools like Excel, Python, and business intelligence software to automate reporting.
- Create presentations and project updates for leadership and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program for Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or Computer Science.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- A methodical approach to data accuracy and documentation.
- Ability to manage workstreams independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity regarding how data drives manufacturing outcomes.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
