About the role#
This is a full-time paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. Interns will work on-site in the Jersey City, New Jersey office from October to December. The role is designed to provide practical experience in the insurance and investment industry by contributing to meaningful projects that impact business operations.
What you'll do#
- Support the calculation of cashflows, risk metrics, and other analytics for structured and other investment assets.
- Assist in developing quantitative tools and models to evaluate new and existing investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with Investment Managers and internal teams to support investment recommendations and portfolio strategies.
- Participate in due diligence on potential asset acquisitions.
- Assist in preparing compliance and performance reports to ensure adherence to investment guidelines.
- Review and maintain data quality across investment systems.
- Prepare presentation materials summarizing investment performance, risk, and strategy for senior management.
- Contribute to automated reporting processes and help develop dashboards and data tools for investment analysis.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior status pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Familiarity with sophisticated data science techniques.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to work towards the CFA designation is preferred.
