Folia Materials is seeking a Materials Chemistry or Chemical Engineering intern to support the development and qualification of advanced paper coating technologies. This role focuses on laboratory research, product testing, and data documentation to support the company's breakthrough material platforms.
What you'll do#
- Conduct laboratory R&D to investigate and characterize the properties and efficacy of novel coating materials.
- Perform product testing, including sample preparation, visual inspections, and the use of analytical instruments.
- Maintain and organize data reports and testing documentation to support the Quality Management System.
- Manage multiple daily tasks and prioritize requests while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of or recent graduation with an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or Sociology.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, including operating equipment and maintaining development records.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and synthesize findings into succinct reports and presentations.
- Experience with cellulosic materials, pulp, paper, or textiles is considered an asset.
