About the role#
Folia Materials is hiring a Part-Time Instrumentation Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role focuses on product testing for our microwave susceptor technology. You will work alongside our engineering team to design reliable test systems and improve how we gather data.
What you'll do#
- Execute lab-scale tests with attention to detail and document all variables.
- Support the creation of data sampling methods.
- Assist in transitioning from manual testing to automated systems to improve reproducibility.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to meet technical goals.
- Develop reliable methods for gathering data.
What you'll need#
- Current student in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong foundation in experimental measurements.
- Commitment to data accuracy and detail.
- Ability to learn new electronics and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with Google Drive or MS Office.
- Ability to work in teams.

- Location: Waltham, Massachusetts.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site only.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
