About the role#
Fischer Homes is offering a full-time Co-Op/Internship for the Summer 2027 term in St. Louis, Missouri. This position provides hands-on experience in the construction industry by working alongside experienced Field Managers. You will gain exposure to the home build process from start to finish while developing professional skills in a supportive environment.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Managers in overseeing the construction of new homes.
- Coordinate with trade partners, vendors, and customers regarding project progress.
- Complete PACE eLearning courses to build your technical knowledge.
- Participate in Sapphire training to learn about scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service administration.
- Observe home orientations to understand the final stages of the build process.
- Gain construction knowledge by completing a variety of job scopes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Physical ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and wear required protective gear such as hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites throughout the day.
