About the role#
Fischer Homes is looking for interns and co-ops to join our construction team in Louisville. You will work directly with Field Managers to oversee the new home build process. This is a full-time, paid position available for the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Managers in the day-to-day management of home construction projects.
- Talk with trade partners, vendors, and customers about project progress.
- Complete Sapphire training to learn about scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service.
- Observe home orientations with customers.
- Complete various job scopes to build your knowledge of residential construction.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
- You must be able to provide clear and helpful customer service.
- You must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- You are comfortable working on construction sites, which involves walking on uneven terrain and exposure to various weather conditions.
