About the role#
The 2D Design Intern will provide support to the Creative and Design team by assisting with various design projects and contributing to marketing initiatives. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in New York. Candidates must be able to work from the office 2 to 3 days per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist the design team by building out branded asset suites.
- Conduct research on design trends and competitor visuals to inform creative projects.
- Implement revisions based on feedback from senior designers.
- Organize and maintain a library of creative assets.
- Collaborate on project teams through image sourcing, Photoshop mockups, and photo retouching.
- Create social media assets, white paper designs, email banners, and other marketing collateral.
What you'll need#
- Professional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Ability to accept creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Experience in events or experiential marketing is preferred.
- Proficiency in After Effects, motion graphics, or presentation software like PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides is a plus.
- Experience with large-format graphics and print vendors is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site (2-3 days per week in office).
- Compensation: $20/hour for Bachelor's degree candidates; $25/hour for Master's degree candidates.
- Term: Rolling.
- Eligibility: Open to current students or recent graduates in Graphic Design, Art, Media Studies, or Communications.
