About the role#
This position supports the Office of Student Engagement by providing transportation for students. You will drive students to and from the Harrisburg Amtrak station and the Harrisburg Airport around major school holiday breaks. This is a paid role for the 2026-27 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Operate a shuttle service before and after breaks, including fall, Thanksgiving, winter, spring, and Easter holidays.
- Assist with off-campus driving for events sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement when needed.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts.
- Help students load luggage into vans, which requires lifting up to 30-50 pounds.
What you'll need#
- You must be an approved driver for a Messiah University minivan or be willing to complete the approval process.
- Strong time management skills and a reliable, prompt nature.
- Flexibility to handle last-minute schedule changes.
- Ability to work during peak times when students are leaving or returning to campus.
- Comfort wearing casual attire, such as jeans and sneakers, while on duty.
