About the role#
First Bank & Trust is looking for a Software Development Intern to join our team. This is a part-time position focused on application maintenance and development. You will work under the direction of an Application Developer II to support our internal systems.
What you'll do#
- Perform maintenance on applications to meet project requirements.
- Evaluate, analyze, and troubleshoot software bugs in internal and third-party systems.
- Assist with database design and implement strategies to interface applications with databases.
- Create technical documentation for software, code, and databases.
- Stay current with new technology and software development techniques.
- Follow company policies and complete all required compliance training.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an associate degree or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgement in your work.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in either Sioux Falls or Brookings, South Dakota.
- This internship is part-time and paid.
- Hiring occurs on a rolling basis.
