About the role#
First Bank & Trust is looking for a Compliance Intern to support our team in identifying and mitigating regulatory risks. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in community banking through administrative support, research, and project participation. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Perform confidential administrative tasks for the Compliance team.
- Shadow team members to learn specific functions and internal processes.
- Contribute to bank-wide project teams and attend committee meetings.
- Conduct research and analysis to better understand community banking regulations.
- Coordinate and implement special initiatives as assigned.
- Follow all bank policies and complete required compliance training.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma and at least two years of completed undergraduate study.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with personal computers and documentation is recommended.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Sioux Falls or Brookings, South Dakota.
- This is a part-time position with a rolling application term.
