About the role#
This internship within the Asset Management Technology division offers students a chance to apply quantitative and engineering skills to financial decision-making. You will work alongside Quantitative Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers to build tools that assist in their daily processes. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Build efficient analytical solutions to improve investment processes.
- Gather project requirements through direct dialogue with team members.
- Conceptualize and build solutions using programming languages.
- Package tools for use by investment professionals.
- Write documentation for the solutions you create.
- Develop ideas regarding the future extensibility of your projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Bachelor or Master degree candidate with a graduation year of 2028 or 2029.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
- Demonstrated projects in full stack software engineering using languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or C++.
- Practical experience or academic projects involving Financial Engineering or Machine Learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An academic or intellectual interest in financial markets.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your findings.
