About the role#
As an Operational Technology intern, you will join the team responsible for securing the industrial control systems that keep geothermal operations running safely. You will own a project scoped with your manager on your first day and drive it for the full 12 weeks. At the end of the summer, you will present your work and results to our executive leadership team and department leads.
What you'll do#
- Manage OT asset inventories.
- Monitor OT/ICS security events.
- Support vulnerability and risk assessments.
- Assist with network security and remote access.
- Maintain OT security documentation.
- Partner with Operations, Controls, and IT teams.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior, Senior, or Master's candidate in Operational Technology (Critical Infrastructure) Security wrapping up within the next year, or PhD candidate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Interest or coursework in Operational Technology (OT) security.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP, NIST 800-82r3, or ISA/IEC 62443 standards is preferred.
