About the role#
This Field Engineer Internship is a 12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple areas of construction operations. You will rotate through safety, survey and estimating, project supervision, and field engineering. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Irving, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Learn to perform Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Safety Observations.
- Conduct regular jobsite audits to ensure safety standards.
- Interpret project plans and assist with setting layouts.
- Survey for quantities and practice accurate conversions.
- Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or Construction Science/Management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- A full understanding of construction math concepts.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform moderate to high levels of physical activity in an outdoor construction environment.
