About the role#
This paid internship offers undergraduate students direct exposure to the operations of the Federal Reserve Bank. You will work on project-based assignments and participate in professional development activities. This role is based in our Detroit branch and requires you to work on-site for 40 hours per week over a 10 to 12 week period.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to your assigned department.
- Engage in project-based work that supports our mission.
- Build professional relationships with subject matter experts, Bank leadership, and fellow interns.
- Interpret data and analytics to develop insights and support decision-making processes.
- Present information verbally and respond to questions from small to medium groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 2.75.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated work style.
- Professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients.

- Compensation: $20 to $33 per hour, based on academic level.
