About the role#
This 10-week internship program provides an immersive overview of the industrial construction management process. You will rotate through Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle. The program includes virtual professional development training and bi-weekly mentorship meetings.
What you'll do#
- Perform conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, and detailed breakdowns.
- Conduct subcontractor scope reviews and assist with bidding, buyout, and selection.
- Gain insight into design-build approaches and MEP subcontractor coordination.
- Review drawings and plans both in the office and on-site.
- Assist with permitting, project documentation, and closeout processes.
- Learn and apply jobsite safety practices, including PPE, inspections, and toolbox talks.
- Participate in daily site walks, pre-construction meetings, and subcontractor coordination.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills.
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and interest in seeking growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Prior construction management internship experience is a plus.
