About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides an immersive overview of the industrial construction management process. You will participate in a structured rotation through Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle. The program includes virtual professional development training and bi-weekly mentorship meetings.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations.
- Learn the proposal and budgeting process, including conceptual estimating and quantity takeoffs.
- Conduct subcontractor scope reviews and assist with bidding, buyout, and selection.
- Learn about MEP subcontractors and design-build approaches.
- Gain exposure to permitting, project documentation, and closeout processes.
- Review drawings and plans on-site and attend pre-construction meetings.
- Participate in daily site walks and subcontractor meetings.
- Apply jobsite safety practices, including PPE, inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and interest in seeking growth opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Prior construction management internship experience is a plus.
