About the role#
Farm Credit Illinois is hiring a Risk Intern for Summer 2027. This paid position provides hands-on experience in operational risk management. You will work with the Enterprise Risk Management team to complete projects using established procedures and templates. The role involves collaborating with employees and external contacts while building professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Support the Third-Party Risk Management Program by uploading documents and initiating vendor risk assessment workflows.
- Send template communications to vendor owners and contacts.
- Assist with the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting Program by gathering evidence and updating testing steps.
- Create fraud prevention content for social media and newsletters.
- Participate in a mentor program and team-building activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Intent to remain enrolled as a student in Fall 2027.
- Preferred majors include agricultural business, agriculture economics, business administration, or economics.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Mahomet, Illinois.
- The internship is full-time, Monday through Friday, from May 17, 2027, to August 5, 2027.
- Work is on-site at the Mahomet headquarters with occasional travel required in the southern 60 counties of Illinois.
- Summer housing in or around Champaign County is required.
