About the role#
As a Technical Program Manager 1, you will join the Project Management Organization to support Engineering and Operations teams. You will represent the interests of developers and stakeholders while executing project planning, delivery, and reporting. This role focuses on the innovation and development of products within the F5 Distributed Cloud platform. You will manage multiple complex projects, define feature priorities, and ensure alignment with customer needs.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and budget.
- Lead the gathering of product requirements and project scope across multiple teams.
- Negotiate priorities and navigate organizational dynamics to establish delivery schedules.
- Identify and resolve strategic issues that impact delivery.
- Monitor progress and design recovery strategies if projects deviate from the plan.
- Provide data analytics for operational, process improvement, and cost reporting.
- Design and deliver executive presentations to support product lifecycle management.
- Run program-level meetings to coordinate efforts and communicate status.
- Conduct project retrospectives to support improvements in policy and tools.
- Collaborate with peers and managers across the organization to solve problems.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of a Summer 2026 internship with F5.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Graduation date between December 2026 and September 2027.
- Start date no later than September 30, 2027.
- Completion of a Data Structures course in a modern, object-oriented programming language or equivalent knowledge.
- Ability to work onsite.

- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees within 30 miles of an F5 office are required to work from the office a minimum of 30 business days per quarter.
