About the role#
The AI and Innovation Internship provides hands-on exposure to the full AI lifecycle within the financial services industry. You will apply academic learning to real-world scenarios while collaborating with business, technology, cybersecurity, and compliance teams. This program focuses on how AI integrates into enterprise strategy and the practical application of machine learning in banking.
What you'll do#
- Research and evaluate potential AI applications in banking, including fraud detection, credit risk modeling, personalization, automation, and compliance monitoring.
- Assist in designing, training, validating, and testing machine learning and generative AI models.
- Support data pipeline development, cloud-based workflows, and model lifecycle management.
- Participate in activities related to AI governance, ethical AI, bias testing, and security to ensure compliance with banking regulations.
- Contribute to the assessment of third-party AI tools and platforms.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support AI projects and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Official enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor program.
- Academic focus in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Information Technology.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
