About the role#
Expand Energy is hiring for an IT Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City. You will work alongside our IT team to gain practical experience across various technical functions.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members in areas including development, security, asset management, and operations.
- Complete entry-level tasks such as software development, data analysis, report writing, platform administration, and endpoint management.
- Maintain knowledge of current technologies.
- Build and manage working relationships with other departments.
- Formulate and share new, cost-effective ideas with leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
- Sophomore or Junior status is preferred.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages like Python, SQL, JavaScript, or other object-oriented languages.
- Ability to learn company-specific applications.
- Strong organization, initiative, and judgment skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects effectively.
- Capability to work well with co-workers, clients, and external contacts at all levels.
