About the role#
As an RTL Intern, you will work on the design and implementation of hardware for frontier intelligence. You will join the ASIC team to build logic for inference-focused systems. This is a full-time, paid internship with direct mentorship from our engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Design microarchitecture for new hardware.
- Implement logic using Verilog.
- Contribute to RTL block development.
- Participate in the full design cycle, starting from microarchitecture discussions through to synthesis and timing feedback.
- Learn about transformer architectures and other aspects of modern artificial intelligence.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with high-speed digital logic and ASIC or SoC design concepts.
- Experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, or Python.
- Experience with verification work and writing test benches.
- Familiarity with physical design flows and tooling.
- Experience with modern ML and LLM model architectures, numerical representations, and clocking or reset schemes is a plus.
- Ability to program with Python or other scripting languages.

- Terms: Fall 2026, Winter 2027, or Summer 2027.
- This is a 12-week paid internship that includes housing support for those relocating and daily lunch and dinner in the office.
