Supercomputing Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This internship focuses on the design, development, and deployment of machine learning system software required to operate rack-scale systems. You will work on network performance, telemetry processing pipelines, and the analysis of system-level health. The role also involves deploying software frameworks, validating hardware, and maintaining secure, performant systems for data center-scale workloads.

What you'll do#

• Develop and deploy ML system software for rack-scale operations.
• Build and maintain telemetry creation and processing pipelines.
• Analyze system-level health and network performance.
• Provision software frameworks and support hardware validation.
• Ensure the security and performance of data center-scale ML workloads.

What you'll need#

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• A solid understanding of hardware/software co-design and low-level software engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred experience includes Linux internals, kernel development, driver debugging, hardware diagnostics, server virtualization, or CI/CD pipelines.

• Term: Fall 2026 (12-week internship).
• Modality: Full-time, on-site.
• Compensation: Paid position with housing support available for those relocating.
