As a Firmware Intern, you will contribute to the development of firmware for custom ASICs engineered to run large transformer models. You will operate across the full stack, ranging from low-level drivers, hardware interfaces, and system initialization code to integration with runtime libraries and model-execution frameworks. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of hardware, enabling high-throughput inference and training workloads.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture, and software teams to bring up new silicon.
- Validate features and support the deployment of real-world AI applications.
- Develop and optimize firmware to ensure hardware operates at peak efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Solid understanding of low-level software engineering and hardware/software co-design.
