About the role#
We are seeking a motivated Cloud Developer Intern to join our Ericsson BOS ADM teams in Plano, Texas. This role focuses on developing automation scripts, utilizing internal GenAI tools, and supporting non-functional testing for cloud-based rApp projects. You will work in a collaborative environment on complex cloud technologies, AI, and automation tasks.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement Python automation scripts to interact with cloud-based systems.
- Use internal GenAI tools to design and implement agent-based automation solutions.
- Create and optimize cloud automation workflows, including catalog comparisons and version control integration.
- Verify environmental variable consistency across cloud environments.
- Generate installation JSON configurations from topology diagrams and develop tools to create topology PowerPoint presentations.
- Document automation processes, scripts, and best practices.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to cloud automation strategies.
- Analyze cloud application architecture to derive non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, and categorize non-functional test scenarios such as performance, load, and scalability.
- Map requirements to metrics like response time, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Support scripting and automation of test scenarios using Robot Framework and Python.
- Collaborate with senior testers to define test data needs, load patterns, and environment configurations.
- Assist in scripting and executing performance tests using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Review test results and analyze system behavior under load.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python scripting, including libraries for data manipulation and API interaction.
- Familiarity with JSON/YAML for cloud configuration.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and the ML lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, curious mindset.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Knowledge of LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, Ansible, Robot Framework, or RPA tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing tools is a plus.
- Experience or awareness of AWS/Azure cloud platforms and SD-WAN technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to REST APIs and scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
