About the role#
As a Financial Systems Analyst Intern, you will work with the Financial Systems team to maintain and improve our Enterprise Resource Planning software. You will support our Lumber, Hardware, Industrial Tooling, Manufacturing, and Warehousing divisions. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Columbia, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Help implement and customize system modules to meet financial requirements.
- Troubleshoot system issues and work with technical support.
- Write documentation, including user manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for system integration.
- Analyze data to create process improvements and data-backed solutions.
- Build reports and models for senior leadership.
- Keep up with industry trends and ERP software developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, or Finance.
- Expert skills in Excel.
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Exposure to analytical languages such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Basic knowledge of financial principles and business processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, as well as the Lumber, Building Materials, or Warehouse and Shipping industries.
- A curious, analytical approach to solving complex problems.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
