About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Brea, California. You will work on-site to support the accounting and finance team with daily operations, reporting, and various special projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Enter data into accounting systems including JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, and OnBase.
- Build and run financial reports.
- Support the controllers, payroll manager, and CFO on special projects.
- Help the accounting department with general functions and other assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for accounting, finance, or business administration.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- A focus on finding ways to improve department processes.
- Ability to sit for long periods, type, and carry reports.
