About the role#
We are looking for a senior-level or graduate student to join our Accounting & Financial Reporting team at our home office in Columbia, Missouri. This internship is for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in financial operations while supporting our business growth.
What you'll do#
- Shadow team members to learn about accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Assist with journal entries, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Manage and report data using Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Help with account reconciliations and month-end closing tasks.
- Prepare financial reports, conduct trend analysis, and perform peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows for key business systems, including internal controls and risk identification.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and track information.
- Take on additional tasks to learn about broader office operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles from completed coursework.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
