About the role#
Ephemeris Net is seeking a Commercial Growth Intern to support commercial strategy, business development, and market analysis. You will work directly with the Head of Government Programs & Finance or the Head of Commercial Growth & Ops on projects that influence how the company differentiates itself, secures commercial customers, and makes strategic decisions. This role involves working on real business development efforts and financial modeling to support the company as it scales.
What you'll do#
- Develop commercial sales proposals and supporting materials for prospective customers.
- Build pricing models and business case analyses for new product offerings or customer engagements.
- Conduct pricing research, rate analysis, and volume or cost modeling to inform pricing decisions.
- Perform market mapping and competitive analysis to identify target customer segments, adjacent markets, and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Develop strategic recommendations regarding market entry, partnership structures, or product positioning.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or masters degree in business, finance, engineering, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience building financial models and structuring ambiguous problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write persuasively under deadline pressure.
- Ability to work independently on a scoped project with regular mentorship and check-ins.
- Adaptability to work in a startup environment where priorities shift quickly.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site (minimum 3 days per week) in Oakland, CA or El Segundo, CA.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
