Commercial Growth Intern

About the role#

Ephemeris Net is seeking a Commercial Growth Intern to support commercial strategy, financial modeling, and business development. You will work directly with the Head of Government Programs & Finance or the Head of Commercial Growth & Ops on projects that influence how the company differentiates its services, secures customers, and makes strategic decisions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to real commercial proposals and business development efforts within the satellite telecommunications industry.

What you'll do#

• Develop commercial sales proposals and supporting materials for prospective customers.
• Build pricing models and business case analyses for new product offerings or customer engagements.
• Conduct pricing research, rate analysis, and volume/cost modeling to support pricing decisions.
• Perform market mapping and competitive analysis to identify target customer segments, adjacent markets, and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Develop strategic recommendations on market entry, partnership structures, or product positioning.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, or International Relations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience building financial models and structuring ambiguous problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive work under deadline pressure.
• Ability to work independently on a scoped project while maintaining regular check-ins with mentors.
• Adaptability to work in a startup environment where priorities shift quickly.

Location & details#

• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site (minimum 3 days per week).
• Locations: Oakland, California or El Segundo, California.
• Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
