    Job Description: Job Title:R&D Co-OpJob Description:Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission.The Role:Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking an R&D Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.Entegris is seeking a highly motivated R&D Co-op to support membrane development initiatives within the Membrane R&D Group. The co-op will contribute to research and development activities related to membrane surface modification and characterization. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic industrial R&D environment and provides opportunities to work closely with scientists and engineers on innovative product development projects.What You’ll Do:Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate the performance, properties, and functionality of surface-modified membrane prototypes.Support membrane surface modification and processing studies to optimize product performance, robustness, and manufacturability.Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental results to support data-driven technical decisions and project recommendations.Collaborate with R&D scientists and engineers to design experiments and troubleshoot technical challenges.Maintain accurate and organized documentation of experimental procedures, data, and technical findings in accordance with R&D best practicesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to lab safety, laboratory methods, testing capabilities, and development processes.Adhere to all Entegris safety policies, laboratory protocols, and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.What We Seek:Prior laboratory experience through coursework, research, or previous internships/co-ops is preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and team environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with data analysis and statistical tools is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and present technical findings clearly.Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.Eligibility:Must be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through JuneMust be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op programEntegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work in a laboratory environment and wear required PPE.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine laboratory activities. Ability to lift and move materials and equipment up to 20 pounds. Ability to safely handle chemicals and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.WHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS?Lead.
