About the role#
This is a full-time, 6-month co-op position based in Colorado Springs, CO. You will work alongside experienced Quality Engineers to support injection molding operations. This role offers hands-on experience with manufacturing, quality systems, process validation, and continuous improvement in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support process validations, including IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for new products, tooling, and equipment.
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, improve process capability, and reduce defects.
- Assist with nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, inspection procedures, and PFMEAs.
- Participate in audits, process reviews, and quality system compliance activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Metrology, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support new product introductions and tooling transfers by analyzing validation data.
- Utilize metrology equipment and statistical tools to evaluate performance.
- Present technical findings and project updates to engineering and operational teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Interest in regulated manufacturing environments, including semiconductor or medical device sectors.
- Preferred experience includes statistical analysis, CAD, Minitab, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or metrology equipment.
- Must be a currently enrolled student familiar with university co-op requirements.
Location & details#
- Location: Colorado Springs, CO.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include the ability to work in office, laboratory, and cleanroom environments, wear required PPE, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- This position is paid. We do not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
